Edelweiss is located in the heart of the Whitefish Mountain Resort Village, just a few hundred feet from the lifts (the CLOSEST lodging building to the high-speed lift to the Summit). From Edelweiss, you’ll enjoy views of the Flathead Valley below and the Northern Rocky Mountains all around it. We are a short drive to Glacier National Park, the Famous Going to the Sun Road, the Bob Marshall Wilderness, and Flathead Lake. Our owners and guests have easy access to all the village amenities. You can schedule transfers from the airport (Kalispell/FCA) or the Amtrak train station (Whitefish) for a fee. The S.N.O.W. bus shuttles to Whitefish numerous times daily for more shopping, dining and activity options.
Generally, ski season runs from early/mid December through the beginning of April. Summer activities are generally early/mid June through Labor Day (weather depending). Spring and Fall are those in between times that we refer to as the Shoulder Season. Shoulder season sometimes has too much snow for summer activities and not enough snow for winter activities. If you’re visiting Edelweiss during Should Season, be prepared for some things to be closed or unavailable. Always have a few ideas in mind of what you want to see and do. The last part to note about shoulder season is that lodging services are generally the only available amenity while on the mountain. You’ll just want to plan shopping and dining accordingly.
We look forward to having you visit us!
